Overview
You will own the sanitation of all dishware and the dish room at 34 Four Peaks Medical Center, a busy Food Service department that serves patients and staff daily. You will operate the dish machine and ensure hygiene standards meet hospital protocols. Your work keeps the kitchen running safely and supports the broader HonorHealth system.
What You'll Do10
- 1Operate the dish machine to clean all dishes, utensils, and trays, ensuring they pass sanitation standards.
- 2Remove clean dishes from the machine and stock them in designated storage areas for immediate use.
- 3Clear soiled dishes, glassware, and trays from food carts, loading them into racks for washing.
- 4Clean food carts after patient tray removal to prevent cross-contamination.
- 5Monitor and adjust chemical levels in the dish machine to guarantee proper sanitization of service ware.
- 6Handwash pots, pans, and utensils, then rinse and sanitize them for kitchen use.
- 7Clean the entire kitchen area, including cooking utensils, floors in dish room, walk-in, and kitchen zones.
- 8Scrub drains in the dish machine, dish room, and kitchen to prevent blockages and odors.
- 9Transport trash and recyclables to collection areas, and move carts to patient floors and back after meal service.
- 10Maintain the doctors lounge dirty dish cart, and clean the trash compactor area and food service alley when assigned.
Requirements6
- 1Some high school required; High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- 2Food Handlers Card certification required.
- 3Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions.
- 4Comfortable cleaning with industrial dish equipment and chemicals.
- 5Ability to lift up to 50 pounds for cart and trash movement.
- 6Flexible to work varied hours and days, including weekends and holidays.
