Disaster Recovery Architect, Infrastructure & DR Strategy
Overview
The Disaster Recovery Architect will own theDR program planning and execution for critical systems across the agency at scale. You will coordinate with division leaders and engineers to ensure rapid recovery from disruptions. This role integrates systems analysis, security, and operations to strengthen business continuity. You will differentiate the team by driving statewide DR collaboration and measurable improvements to recovery readiness.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and maintain DR plans and runbooks documenting recovery tasks and stakeholders
- 2Lead DR exercises and post mortems to resolve testing issues and improve readiness
- 3Coordinate remote access and support strategies for disaster recovery across divisions
- 4Establish ongoing DR communications and command and control plans with state agencies
- 5Drive cost efficiencies and strategic improvements in the DR program through regular evaluations
- 6Manage documentation of DR procedures and theater-wide coordination meetings
- 7Collaborate on risk assessments and business impact analyses to meet continuity targets
- 8Review technology requirements for DR readiness and support activities
- 9Support security posture through DR related infrastructure assessments and configurations
- 10Assist with interpreting regulations and ensuring DR compliance across the agency
Requirements5
- 1Bachelor’s degree or 10+ years of experience in systems engineering, architecture, and design
- 2Experience in disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution
- 3Knowledge of infrastructure technologies, data backups, and replication
- 4Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and manage complex projects
- 5Driver’s license and compliance checks as required by the State of Arizona
