What You'll Do8

  • 1Design and lead the annual Week of Welcome and New Student Orientation, coordinating logistics from contracts to staffing.
  • 2Direct the Campus Activities Board to deliver social, educational, and cultural programming that matches student interests.
  • 3Advise the Student Government Association on governance, budgeting, and advocacy, ensuring constitutional compliance.
  • 4Build and manage the student organization lifecycle, including registration, training, and budgets for 100+ clubs.
  • 5Develop leadership retreats and workshops that build professional competencies for emerging student leaders.
  • 6Drive student involvement through data-informed strategies, using engagement assessments to boost participation.
  • 7Oversee departmental budgets, approving contracts and purchases for SGA, CAB, and other engagement areas.
  • 8Partner with academic departments to integrate co-curricular experiences that support student success and retention.

Requirements10

  • 1Master's degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, or a related field.
  • 22+ years of progressive professional experience in university housing or residential life.
  • 31+ year of supervisory experience overseeing staff or student leaders.
  • 4Proven budget management and housing occupancy oversight.
  • 5Demonstrated crisis management and student conduct experience.
  • 6Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • 7Availability for evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency on-call rotation.
  • 8Experience supervising 1,000+ residents across multiple halls.
  • 9Familiarity with housing software such as StarRez or other management systems.
  • 10Knowledge of living-learning communities and residential curriculum models.
