Director of Social Service Supervisor II

You will lead daily operations at a Single Adult shelter on Central Park West, ensuring a safe, compliant, and efficient living environment. You will own facility oversight, staff supervision, and regulatory adherence, working directly with DHS, OTDA, and other agencies. This role demands crisis management skills and a hands-on approach to team leadership, making a tangible difference in housing placement efforts.

You will own case management and housing stabilization for vulnerable populations across New York City shelters. You will coordinate with DHS and CARES systems to secure housing and services. Your team operates on-site in Manhattan, Queens, and the Bronx, supporting families and adults. This role demands direct client engagement and cross-department collaboration. You will make an immediate impact on client outcomes in a mission-driven environment.

You will assess client needs, plan courses of action, and link clients to housing and supportive services for 10,000+ vulnerable New Yorkers. You will join a collaborative team of Housing Specialists and social workers, reporting to a Senior Case Manager. Your work directly impacts housing stability and client empowerment, with a focus on measurable placement quotas.

Lead day-to-day operations of a transitional family residence serving families with children, driving outcomes in housing stability and family well-being. You will oversee a multi-disciplinary team of Social Service Supervisors, Housing Coordinators, and Case Managers, integrating services across employment, childcare, and recreation. Champion Evidence-Based Practices (EBP), Trauma-Informed Care (TIC), and Motivational Interviewing (MI) while ensuring compliance with OTDA, DHS, and Win standards. Your leadership directly shapes program performance toward permanent housing and family goals, backed by a supportive nonprofit environment committed to ending homelessness.

Lead and support Case Managers in the Harriet Tubman Supportive Housing program, ensuring trauma-informed services for families experiencing homelessness. Drive client-centered care using Motivational Interviewing and Trauma-Informed Care. Supervise multidisciplinary teams, maintain DHS and OTDA compliance, and champion evidence-based practices. This role builds community partnerships and fosters staff development for lasting housing stability.

Lead direct case management services to ensure sustainable permanent housing transition for families experiencing homelessness. Utilize CARES system and collaborate with community resources to meet medical educational and employment needs.
