Director of Procurement, Strategic Sourcing & Direct Materials
Overview
Director of Procurement leads global category strategies for direct materials representing $1B+ annual spend across Americas EMEA and Asia. You will build and govern multi year sourcing roadmaps drive value and responsible sourcing while leading a diverse procurement team. You will shape market intelligence capabilities to sense risk and opportunity and co own the Scope 3 emissions strategy with Integrated Supply Chain leadership. This is a global leadership role with cross functional partnerships and measurable impact on quality service and total cost.
What You'll Do10
- 1Lead, coach, and develop a diverse procurement team across geographies and functions to achieve category goals.
- 2Translate business needs into aligned category strategies and execute across geographies and business units.
- 3Lead value based SRM including segmentation performance management and joint business planning with cross functional teams.
- 4Partner with Engineering Finance Quality Operations and BU leaders to advance scalable processes analytics and automation that strengthen procurement excellence.
- 5Own and monitor category governance and ensure strategies translate into 3 5 year roadmaps and budget targets.
- 6Drive supplier selection and award decisions aligned to strategy and ensure clear stakeholder communication.
- 7Oversee supplier development and risk mitigation plans ensuring compliance with corporate policies and regulations.
- 8Coordinate source to pay processes end to end including contracting purchasing and supplier end user support.
- 9Manage ongoing stakeholder engagement plans across internal and external supply chains to align priorities.
- 10Lead cross functional initiatives and implement process improvements with clear accountability and results.
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor’s degree in a related field MBA or advanced degree preferred
- 210+ years of professional experience in internationally regulated manufacturing environments
- 35+ years leading and developing professionals
- 4Experience developing and executing sourcing strategies across broad categories including Plastics Rubber Sterilization Glass preferred
- 5Travel 40%+ domestically and internationally
- 6Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing supplier management and category risk
- 7Demonstrated ability to influence in a highly matrixed organization
- 8Coaching mentoring and team development experience
- 9Excellent analytical skills and comfort with data driven decision making
