Director Fixed Income Electronic Trading Product
Overview
You will lead the expansion of Fidelity Bond Beacon, a proprietary Fixed Income trading platform used by thousands of financial advisors. As end-to-end gatekeeper of the team's mission, you will work with trading desks, compliance, clients, and leadership to prioritize the product feature backlog. You will guide a team in delivering best-in-class execution and user-friendly workflows. This role sits in Fidelity Capital Markets, where systems trade billions of dollars in retail and advisor-driven securities daily. What You'll Do8
- 1Grow the Fidelity Bond Beacon platform's capabilities across the Fixed Income product suite, including Treasuries, agencies, mortgages, CDs, municipal bonds, and corporate bonds.
- 2Own the product roadmap and backlog, prioritizing features that improve advisor and trader workflows.
- 3Collaborate directly with trading desks, compliance, and clients to translate market needs into product requirements.
- 4Drive adoption of electronic trading workflows and analytics among financial advisors.
- 5Balance innovation and experimentation with risk management to ensure stable, reliable product delivery.
- 6Coach and mentor team members to foster a culture of continuous learning and high performance.
- 7Influence senior leadership with clear, data-driven product decisions.
- 8Define and track key performance indicators for product success and market impact.
Requirements9
- 15+ years in product leadership for electronic trading platforms in Fixed Income markets.
- 2Deep understanding of Fixed Income instruments: treasuries, agencies, mortgages, CDs, municipal bonds, corporate bonds, and structured notes.
- 3Strong quantitative aptitude, including statistics and probabilistic risk analysis.
- 4Proven success in building user-centric workflows that simplify complex trading processes.
- 5Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to make and defend decisions under uncertainty.
- 6Experience managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with trading desks, compliance, and clients.
- 7Program management skills, including agile practices and backlog prioritization.
- 8Series 07 and Series 63 certifications required.
- 9Intellectual curiosity and a demonstrable record of mentoring and coaching.
