What You'll Do11
- 1Strategic Financial Leadership Partner with BU PresidentGM to shape strategy for growth profitability and market expansion across agents partners and payment channels.
- 2Lead long-range financial planning integrating competitive insights real-time payments alternative payment methods and macroeconomic trends across payments sector.
- 3Evaluate and influence major strategic initiatives including new payment products international growth technology modernization and risk investments.
- 4Payments FP&A & Performance Management Own full P&L forecasting budgeting and monthly business reviews focusing on payment-driven revenue streams.
- 5Build real-time dashboards and analytics using transaction data risk scoring outputs and network performance metrics to drive decision-making.
- 6Revenue Strategy & Pricing Partner with Product and Commercial teams to design pricing structures across channels and corridors.
- 7Lead margin optimization initiatives including interchange analysis network optimization and routing strategies such as least-cost routing.
- 8Cross-Functional Leadership Represent Finance in Product Councils Risk Committees and Operational Reviews Ensuring alignment across Finance Product Engineering Operations Risk Sales and Legal.
- 9Translate complex payments and financial data into clear insights for non-financial stakeholders.
- 10Team Leadership & Talent Development Lead and develop high-performing finance team specializing in payments analytics revenue operations and P&L ownership.
- 11Foster culture grounded in clarity operational rigor and strategic partnership.
Requirements11
- 110–15+ years progressive finance experience.
- 2Global 3–5+ years in payments merchant acquiring card issuing fintech or financial services.
- 3Bachelor’s degree in finance accounting economics mathematics or quantitative field.
- 4Advanced credentials such as MBA CFA CPA or equivalent preferred.
- 5Direct experience managing P&L and leading FP&A in transaction-driven business.
- 6Deep understanding of payments economics network rules fraud and risk dynamics merchant issuer revenue models.
- 7Familiarity with SQL BI tools and modern data environments commonly used in payments e.g. Snowflake.
- 8Work hybrid HYBRID Western Union values in-person collaboration problem solving and ideation when possible.
- 9Minimum three days per week in office.
