What You'll Do11
- 1Build relationships with individuals and families to foster trust and engagement
- 2Design and implement personalized activity plans aligned with individual goals
- 3Assist with daily living tasks including hygiene medication reminders and personal care
- 4Facilitate recreational activities that promote social interaction and skill development
- 5Maintain accurate progress documentation and share insights with interdisciplinary teams
- 6Drive therapeutic interventions that enhance independence and quality of life
- 7Participate in comprehensive training on C.A.R.E. values and evidence-based practices
- 8Collaborate with supervisors to troubleshoot challenges and optimize service delivery
- 9Support community transportation logistics using personal or company vehicles
- 10Engage in proactive communication with families and external agencies
- 11Demonstrate empathy adaptability respect and coaching abilities in all interactions
Requirements11
- 1High School diploma or GED equivalent and minimum age 18
- 2Relevant experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities
- 3Current driver's license and California auto insurance
- 4Ability to read write and speak English proficiency preferred bilingual Spanish
- 521 years or older if operating company vehicle
- 6Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities
- 7Commitment to lifelong learning with willingness to obtain certifications
- 8Understanding of trauma-informed care approaches
- 9Experience with behavior management techniques and de-escalation strategies
- 10Familiarity with special education principles and inclusive practices
- 11Dedication to creating supportive environments that honor individual dignity
