Overview
You will provide direct care and behavioral support to residents with developmental disabilities in a residential group home setting. This role centers on implementing Behavior Plans and Health Care Plans while teaching daily living skills. You will work with a team of DSPs and RBTs under the guidance of a Program Administrator and RN House Manager. The position offers paid training, tuition reimbursement, and career growth. What You'll Do10
- 1Teach residents self-care and independent living skills like bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- 2Implement Behavior Plans and Health Care Plans as directed by supervisors.
- 3Maintain safety and supervision of residents at all times, including during activities and appointments.
- 4Document resident progress and incidents, reporting concerns to supervisory personnel.
- 5Transport residents using company vehicles to medical and recreational appointments.
- 6Assist residents in occupational, recreational, and therapeutic programs.
- 7Engage residents in activities that promote learning and skill practice.
- 8Attend staff meetings and complete required trainings and certifications.
- 9Respond to emergencies as directed by health and behavior plans.
- 10Complete assigned work in a timely manner and support team members.
Requirements5
- 1High School diploma or GED.
- 2Valid RBT certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire.
- 3Minimum 1 year of prior experience providing direct care to individuals with developmental disabilities with a focus on behavioral services preferred.
- 4Current, valid driver's license in state of residence and at least 2 years of driving experience in the United States.
- 5Successful completion of all trainings as required by applicable regulations.
