Direct Care Worker, Autism & Developmental Disabilities Support
Overview
Owns direct care for residents with autism and developmental disabilities at New Beginning Homes on a Monday Friday schedule by providing compassionate support and adherence to care plans at a Phoenix facility. You will work with clients to promote resident rights, assist with daily living activities, and document care activities. This role emphasizes dignity, respect, and collaboration with healthcare professionals and families to ensure comprehensive care.
What You'll Do7
- 1Build personalized care plans and implement them for each client
- 2Assist with daily living activities including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration
- 3Provide direct support to individuals with autism and developmental disabilities to foster independence
- 4Monitor client behavior and report changes to case management
- 5Maintain accurate documentation of care activities, progress notes, and incident reports
- 6Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other caregivers to coordinate care
- 7Participate in ongoing training on best practices in direct support and patient care
Requirements10
