Overview

Caregiver DDD Caregiver will provide compassionate, personalized care to individuals with developmental disabilities in group homes, assisted living, or home health settings in Phoenix. You will support activities of daily living, monitor health status, assist with medications, and promote independence and safety for residents with autism, dementia, or neurodevelopmental disorders. The role offers open schedules with day and overnight shifts and an engaging environment focused on dignity and well being. This position is onsite and payroll-based.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Build direct personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
  • 2Monitor health status and vital signs, report concerns within policy
  • 3Assist with medication administration following care plans and HIPAA requirements
  • 4Support meal preparation, feeding, and nutritional needs while maintaining hygiene
  • 5Utilize Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques for safe transfers
  • 6Maintain detailed documentation of care plans and incident reports
  • 7Facilitate activities that promote mental stimulation and social interaction
  • 8Engage with individuals with autism, dementia, or neurodevelopmental disorders to promote engagement
  • 9Ensure confidentiality and HIPAA compliance in all care interactions
  • 10Collaborate with families and healthcare teams to coordinate care

Requirements7

  • 1Experience working with individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders
  • 2Proficiency in observing patients and recognizing distress or deterioration
  • 3Knowledge of medication administration protocols and first aid/CPR certification
  • 4Ability to perform heavy lifting and use patient transfer equipment such as Hoyer lifts
  • 5Strong communication skills with clients, families, and healthcare teams
  • 6Familiarity with care plan development and implementation in varied settings
  • 7Compliance with HIPAA and sensitive patient information management
