You will own VOLUME 0's digital publishing program, expanding our website and Substack to grow our audience across 6 print issues per year. You will join a lean team of literary enthusiasts who value creative risk and hands-on execution. What You'll Do7
- 1Develop the website and Substack programs to increase readership and engagement.
- 2Build the email and newsletter program, growing subscriber lists and open rates.
- 3Drive audience growth through Instagram and other social channels.
- 4Manage ad sales, sponsorships, and partnerships to diversify revenue.
- 5Oversee third-party print distribution and paid ad campaigns.
- 6Run operations and analytics, tracking KPIs to inform strategy.
- 7Coordinate and manage freelancers and contributors, ensuring timely delivery.
Requirements7
- 15+ years in digital publishing, magazines, or content with proven audience growth.
- 2Demonstrated success building an audience for a publication or brand.
- 3Deep interest in indie literary and magazine businesses, with knowledge of the scene.
- 4Ability to push boundaries and take creative risks with content and strategy.
- 5Scrappy, hands-on work ethic with strong execution skills.
- 6Proficiency in data analysis and basic math to inform decisions.
- 7Comfort working onsite in New York, NY, five days a week.
