This role involves food service activities within the Food & Nutrition department under the direction of the Chef/General Manager. You will handle sanitation of china silverware pots equipment and floors while preparing and portioning cold food for tray lines and traveling meals.
What You'll Do6
- 1Prepares cold food as assigned for patient line and traveling meals
- 2Delivers and retrieves food carts/trays from patient units following infection control guidelines
- 3Washes pot pans and utensils according to departmental guidelines
- 4Stores clean items in an organized and sanitary manner
- 5Follows all food production standards outlined in HAACP quality control program
- 6Maintains the cleanliness of assigned work area and performs cleaning activities as assigned
Requirements12
- 1High school diploma required
- 20-1 years related work experience required
- 3Basic familiarity with computers preferred
- 4Ability to navigate web-based applications at a basic level
- 5Decision making skills based on specific instructions and standard practices
- 6Problem solving abilities for routine tasks requiring clear directions
- 7Independence of action following general instructions and procedures
- 8Written communication skills in English for internal and external customers
- 9Oral communication skills to interact with medical center staff patients families and external customers
- 10Knowledge of fundamental concepts and practices with ability to apply them routinely
