Die-Cutting Operator (Bobst & Kluge)
Overview
Operate Bobst, Kluge, and Yoco die-cutting equipment to produce high-quality finished products that meet customer specifications and production schedules. The role reports to the Die-Cutting Supervisor and collaborates with a team of finishing professionals. You will own press setup, first-piece approval, and quality control, directly impacting production efficiency and waste reduction. What sets this role apart is the autonomy to supervise helpers and drive line performance in a hands-on production environment.
What You'll Do10
- 1Clear the line according to SOPs and complete all Line Clearance logs
- 2Install and align dies, stripping units, blanking tools, and other press components for Bobst, Kluge, and Yoco presses
- 3Stage all necessary material at the machine before setup
- 4Read and interpret job jacket instructions to ensure accurate production
- 5Verify the customer sample is at the machine and that first-piece approval matches
- 6Supervise helpers and obtain sign-off on first-piece approval from the supervisor
- 7Perform quality pulls as specified in department SOPs
- 8Complete production logs for Fox and customer requirements
- 9Ensure machine runs at specified rate and quality, adjusting as needed
- 10Identify non-conforming products, tag loads with QA inspection tags, and follow customer-specific requirements
