DevOps Engineer, CI/CD & Telemetry (W2 Contract)
Overview
You own the telemetry and pipeline infrastructure for a Phoenix-based client, driving data ingestion across Elastic Stack (ELK), Kafka, and Redis. You design and automate logging pipelines in Linux and cloud environments, supporting multi-team SDLC operations. You build interactive dashboards and executive scorecards that shape engineering decisions. This 6-month W2 contract role demands 8+ years of DevOps experience with a heavy focus on data pipeline engineering and observability.
What You'll Do7
- 1Architect and automate data ingestion pipelines using Elastic Stack (ELK), Kafka, and Redis for log and metric collection.
- 2Build and maintain REST API integrations to stream telemetry data across Linux and cloud environments.
- 3Design interactive SDLC control dashboards in Kibana to expose pipeline health and deployment metrics.
- 4Create executive scorecards that visualize engineering velocity and system reliability for leadership.
- 5Automate pipeline deployment and configuration using Terraform and Ansible for repeatable infrastructure.
- 6Debug and optimize Kafka consumer groups and Redis caching layers to reduce latency.
- 7Collaborate with development teams to instrument applications and standardize log formats.
Requirements7
- 18+ years in DevOps or SRE roles with focus on telemetry and data pipelines.
- 25+ years hands-on with Elastic Stack: Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana.
- 33+ years building streaming pipelines with Kafka and caching with Redis.
- 4Strong scripting in Python or Bash for automation and API integration.
- 5Experience with AWS or Azure cloud services (EC2, S3, Lambda) for pipeline hosting.
- 6Working knowledge of Linux administration and systemd service management.
- 7Familiarity with Terraform or Ansible for infrastructure as code.
