Design Release Engineer - Electrical Accessories
Overview
Lead development of electrical accessory point integration for eShocan Detroit based on a permanent work authorization. Report to Manager of Electrical Modules and Accessories. Own broad complex responsibilities requiring creativity initiative judgment and leadership.
What You'll Do5
- 1Define requirements for electrical accessories including wiring harnesses control modules lighting and other components
- 2Develop designs using CAD software ensuring compatibility with vehicle systems
- 3Work with mechanical electrical and software teams to ensure seamless integration
- 4Collaborate with manufacturing purchasing and other stakeholders to support production and resolve issues
- 5Utilize LEAN Engineering methodologies throughout the process
Requirements11
- 1Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Electronics Engineering Computer Engineering Software Engineering or equivalent from an ABET accredited program
- 2Master's degree preferred
- 35 years of relevant experience in automotive electrical design and release
- 4Hands on experience with open loop and closed loop control systems for sensors actuators body controllers ECUs
- 5Hands on experience with Low Voltage components such as circuit breakers relays wiring
- 6Hands on experience with High Voltage components such as DCDC converter motor and inverter battery on-board charger
- 7Hands on experience with CAN LIN and Ethernet communication protocols
- 8Functional experience with industry standards and regulatory requirements such as FMVSSS NHTSA DOT USCAR SAE NEC
- 9Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross functional collaboration
- 10Highly adaptable and proactive in fast-paced start-up and new model launch environments
- 11Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
