Design Architect Engineer Supervisor
Overview
Leading design and construction oversight for large capital projects across multiple airports. Managing teams and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and high-quality outcomes.
What You'll Do11
- 1Supervise project managers and administrators to execute CCP COMIP CIP and R&R projects ensuring quality schedule and budget goals
- 2Allocate resources to meet design and construction objectives while minimizing change orders
- 3Engage departmental partners airlines tenants and employees to develop scope of work and guide design construction phases
- 4Coordinate operational impacts to reduce disruptions during project execution
- 5Support construction managers overseeing financial and schedule status through regular presentations to upper management
- 6Manage special projects studies and designs to improve airport systems and serve as technical representative for contracts
- 7Act as secondary manager for the Design Department and point of contact for auditors and officials
- 8Apply knowledge of FAR regulations and public contracting practices to supervise design management staff
- 9Perform complex data analysis and provide recommendations on design issues
- 10Utilize architecture and engineering software for project management tasks
- 11Maintain licensure and comply with applicable laws and regulations including ADA and TSA requirements
Requirements8
- 18 years of progressive design management experience with a bachelor's degree in Architecture Civil Engineering or related field
- 2Master's degree may substitute for 2 years of experience
- 3Proficiency in public contracting regulations such as FAR
- 4Experience managing large public sector projects as a project engineer or design project manager
- 5Formal training in public contracting policies and procedures
- 6Valid state driver's license and professional licensure as architect or PE
- 7Ability to operate vehicles both landside and airside with required permits
- 8Experience working in diverse environments including night shifts weekends and adverse weather conditions
