Overview
Reception and registration services for Rehabilitation Services Department. Provide administrative assistance to the Director and Clinical Coordinator. Ensure efficient patient flow and accurate financial handling. This role focuses on delivering high-quality service to members and internal staff.
What You'll Do11
- 1Expedite care by collaborating with therapy staff
- 2Receive and register patients using the computer system
- 3Cancel appointments due to staff absences
- 4Book initial and follow-up appointments
- 5Maintain cash drawer balance and deposit funds
- 6Collect and record daily statistics
- 7Monitor provider schedules to identify available slots
- 8Call patients to fill open appointments
- 9Orient and train new reception staff
- 10Assist with departmental mail and scheduling tasks
- 11Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements11
- 1High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2Typing proficiency at 35 WPM
- 3Medical terminology knowledge passing standardized tests
- 4Two years of public-facing experience
- 5Strong telephone communication skills
- 6Ability to handle cash transactions and make change
- 7Proficiency in filing and data entry
- 8Experience with computer systems for patient registration
- 9Effective telephone message taking and directing
- 10Compliance with HIPAA regulations
- 11Entry-level administrative support experience
