The practice lost its lease and is selling its records, allowing you to seamlessly transition patients into your own practice. You will own the entire records transfer process, from initial contact to final patient notification, and build a foundation for immediate growth. With no production requirements, this role focuses on strategic acquisition and operational logistics, making it ideal for a dentist looking to expand their patient base quickly.
What You'll Do7
- 1Contact the practice owner, Daniel Rudick, at 917-861-9806 to initiate the records purchase process.
- 2Review the practice's financial and patient records to verify the $1.3mm production figure and ensure accuracy.
- 3Negotiate the purchase price and terms for the patient records, focusing on a fair and mutually beneficial agreement.
- 4Coordinate the legal transfer of patient records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and all state regulations.
- 5Develop a patient communication plan to notify existing patients of the transition and retain them in your practice.
- 6Integrate the acquired records into your practice management software, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
- 7Plan the onboarding of new patients, scheduling initial visits and establishing a rapport to ensure retention.
Requirements8
- 1Active DDS or DMD degree and a valid New York State dental license.
- 22+ years of clinical experience in a general or cosmetic dentistry practice.
- 3Proven track record of patient relationship management and practice growth.
- 4Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective negotiation and patient messaging.
- 5Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient record confidentiality.
- 6Experience with dental practice management software such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Open Dental.
