You will manage patient flow and business operations for a small, high-quality general dental practice in midtown Manhattan. What You'll Do10
- 1Schedule patient appointments and manage the front desk using Dentrix, ensuring minimal wait times and accurate records.
- 2Verify insurance eligibility and process claims through Dentrix, reducing billing errors and accelerating reimbursements.
- 3Handle patient check-in and check-out, collecting payments and updating demographics in Microsoft Office and Dentrix.
- 4Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries, demonstrating clear communication and empathy under pressure.
- 5Assist the doctor chairside during clinical procedures, preparing instruments and maintaining a sterile environment.
- 6Maintain inventory of dental supplies and place orders with vendors to keep the clinic fully stocked.
- 7Coordinate treatment plans with patients, explaining procedures and costs in a transparent manner.
- 8Prepare daily and monthly reports on patient volume and revenue using Microsoft Excel, supporting practice growth.
- 9Manage patient recall systems and send reminders via Dentrix to maintain a full schedule.
- 10Support the team with administrative tasks, including filing, scanning, and faxing records in compliance with HIPAA.
Requirements8
- 110+ years of dental receptionist or assistant experience in a clinical setting.
- 2Proficiency in Dentrix software and standard Microsoft Office applications.
- 3Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
- 4Japanese language ability is a plus.
- 5Willingness to assist the doctor with clinical procedures on occasion.
- 6Long-term commitment to the role and practice.
- 7Full-time availability of 40 hours per week.
- 8In-person work location in midtown Manhattan.
