Dental Patient Coordinator leads patient experience at our Sacramento dental practice. You will serve as the first point of contact ensuring seamless experiences from scheduling to check-out. What You'll Do7
- 1Greet patients warmly upon arrival verify appointment details and assist with check-in procedures using EMR systems such as Epic Meditech or eClinicalWorks
- 2Schedule patient appointments efficiently while managing cancellations and rescheduling requests via dental office management software
- 3Collect and review patient documentation including insurance information medical history updates and consent forms ensuring accuracy and completeness
- 4Handle medical billing processes including insurance claims submission follow-up on outstanding balances and processing payments using health insurance knowledge such as Medicare or Medicaid guidelines
- 5Maintain accurate medical records documenting patient interactions treatment plans CPT codes ICD-9/ICD-10 codes and care plans in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- 6Manage phone communication with patients regarding appointment reminders follow-up care instructions and answering general inquiries with professional phone etiquette
- 7Support clinical staff by reviewing documentation for completeness and accuracy while adhering to clinical confidentiality policies
Requirements8
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 23-5 seasons experience in a dental clinic or medical office environment
- 3Medical coding including CPT coding ICD-9/ICD-10 coding for diagnoses and procedures
- 4Bilingual abilities are a plus
- 5Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic health records management software
- 6Experience with medical administrative support tasks such as filing data entry and documentation review
- 7Knowledge of clinical confidentiality policies aligned with HIPAA standards
- 8Prior clinic experience preferred
