Own the full new patient journey at Lawndale Dental Group, converting every inquiry into a scheduled visit. You will manage inbound calls, texts, and emails, verify insurance, and coordinate with clinical staff. What You'll Do7

  • 1Convert inbound inquiries from phone, email, and text into confirmed appointments using Dentrix or similar software.
  • 2Schedule appointments and coordinate provider availability to maximize chair time and reduce gaps.
  • 3Verify dental insurance coverage including PPO, HMO, and Medi-Cal and explain benefits to patients.
  • 4Document every patient interaction in the practice management system, ensuring accurate notes and follow-ups.
  • 5Collaborate with hygienists and assistants to prepare care plans and pre-medications before visits.
  • 6Answer patient questions about procedures, billing, and preparation with clarity and empathy.
  • 7Manage front desk duties, including check-in, payment collection, and referral coordination.

Requirements7

  • 11+ years experience in dental or medical front office, with strong preference for dental settings.
  • 2Fluent in Spanish and English to serve diverse patient population.
  • 3Proven verbal and written communication skills, with phone professionalism.
  • 4Working knowledge of dental insurance plans: PPO, HMO, and Medi-Cal.
  • 5Ability to multitask in a busy office, handling phones, scheduling, and patient questions.
  • 6Proficiency with dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft).
  • 7High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in dental reception is a plus.
