Dental Office Manager Front Desk Coordinator, Dental Scheduling & Insurance
Overview
The role owns the front desk operations at a busy dental practice and maintains a productive schedule for doctors while delivering an exceptional patient experience. You will manage scheduling, insurance verification, claims, and patient communications in a hands-on, independent environment. This is a patient-facing, fast-paced position that requires reliability, problem solving, and strong organizational skills. You will join a collaborative team focused on growth and professional service.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and maintain a productive doctor schedule and fill last-minute openings
- 2Answer incoming calls and respond to patient messages promptly
- 3Verify dental insurance eligibility and benefits and review treatment estimates
- 4Collect copayments deductibles and outstanding balances and support payment processes
- 5Submit and follow up on dental insurance claims and monitor aging reports
- 6Present treatment plans and pursue follow-up from patients who have not scheduled
- 7Coordinate referrals records and communication with other dental offices
- 8Maintain accurate patient information in the practice management system
- 9Help oversee front-office workflows policies and daily administrative tasks
- 10Deliver professional, friendly and compassionate customer service
Requirements10
- 1Previous dental front-desk or dental office management experience is strongly preferred
- 2Experience with Dentrix is highly preferred
- 3Knowledge of dental terminology insurance verification claims and treatment plans
- 4Strong telephone communication and customer-service skills
- 5Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy dental office
- 6Comfort discussing treatment costs and collecting payments
- 7Reliable punctual professional and detail-oriented
- 8Able to take initiative and solve problems without constant supervision
- 9Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
- 10Schedule availability includes evenings and two Saturdays per month
