Dental Hygiene Associates Instructor - Richardson Campus
Overview
Lead didactic and laboratory instruction while supervising student clinical skill development. Create safe learning environments and ensure compliance with ACCSC CAPTE standards. What You'll Do9
- 1Deliver assigned didactic and laboratory instruction aligned with approved syllabi and course objectives
- 2Prepare lesson plans and assessments that promote student achievement and safe clinical skill development
- 3Supervise and evaluate students in laboratory settings ensuring patient safety and infection control
- 4Maintain accurate attendance and grade records following institutional policy
- 5Hold office hours and provide academic support to enhance student retention
- 6Participate in faculty in-service training and develop individual professional development plans
- 7Contribute to curriculum review and program assessment activities
- 8Support accreditation efforts by collecting outcome data
- 9Ensure current unrestricted licensure and compliance with all program policies
Requirements6
- 1Current unrestricted PT or PTA license in applicable states
- 2Minimum three years of full-time post-licensure clinical experience as PT or PTA
- 3Three to five years of teaching experience relevant to dental hygiene education
- 4Proven ability to design and deliver effective instruction
- 5Strong communication and supervision skills
- 6Commitment to maintaining contemporary expertise through continuing education
