Dental Assistant, Patient Care & Office Support
Overview
The dental assistant will elevate patient experiences and support the dentist by handling direct and indirect patient care and administrative tasks. You will contribute to a smooth, compliant clinical flow at a Phoenix area practice with on-site work. This role blends clinical duties with customer service and administrative tasks to keep the office efficient and welcoming.
What You'll Do10
- 1Welcome customers in the dental office
- 2Prepare customers for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort
- 3Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed
- 4Sterilize instruments according to regulations
- 5Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
- 6Undertake lab tasks as instructed
- 7Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
- 8Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
- 9Schedule appointments
- 10Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures
Requirements7
- 1High school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school preferred
- 2Two or more of EFDA or other relevant certification an asset
- 31 year experience in dental setting preferred
- 4Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
- 5Excellent communication and people skills
- 6Attention to detail and well-organized
- 7Ability to follow instructions and comply with office regulations
Salary Insight
$42 - $58k per year
