Overview
You own safe, on-time package delivery for VMP Logistics, a Delivery Service Partner. Drive a branded Non-CDL vehicle through New York, using GPS and handheld routing devices. Shifts run 8-10 hours, 7 days a week, with paid training and $23.50/hour. You handle up to 50 lbs in all weather, and you join a team that values reliability and customer focus.
What You'll Do7
- 1Drive and operate a branded delivery vehicle safely on assigned routes, using GPS and handheld devices for navigation and package tracking.
- 2Load and unload packages up to 50 lbs from the vehicle to customer doors, maintaining accuracy and care.
- 3Deliver packages within the scheduled time window, communicating with dispatch via the handheld device when delays occur.
- 4Follow traffic laws and company safety protocols during all shifts, including night and weekend hours.
- 5Use GPS and route optimization apps to plan stops and minimize idle time between deliveries.
- 6Complete daily records and digital logs, reporting any vehicle issues or delivery exceptions through the system.
- 7Handle customer interactions professionally, confirming deliveries and resolving minor issues on the spot.
Requirements8
- 11+ year in delivery driving, preferably with Cargo Van experience (required).
- 2Valid driver's license within the state of employment (required).
- 3Eligible to work in the U.S. and pass a pre-employment drug test.
- 4Able to lift 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions including rain, snow, and heat.
- 5Proficient with GPS, electronic logging devices, and mobile apps for delivery tracking.
- 6At least 21 years old.
- 7Comfortable driving a Non-CDL vehicle with automatic transmission.
- 8Flexible to work shifts between 09:00 AM and 07:00 PM, including weekends (available).
