What You'll Do11

  • 2Complete donor receipts and route sheets with accurate mileage and driver identification
  • 3Perform daily vehicle maintenance reports and maintain temperature logs for all shipments
  • 4Load and unload food into vehicles following safety protocols and ensure proper securing
  • 5Drive trucks up to 22 feet without a CDL and navigate challenging urban environments
  • 6Maintain a clean vehicle interior and exterior during each shift
  • 7Assist with additional pickups and deliveries as directed by supervisors
  • 8Obtain necessary documentation from action memos or delivery slips before departure
  • 9Report any mechanical issues immediately and follow company procedures for repairs
  • 10Collaborate with utility staff and volunteers to coordinate large-scale distribution efforts
  • 11Uphold DOT regulations and participate in safety-sensitive training programs

Requirements11

  • 1Complete criminal background check and provide valid driver’s license
  • 2Possess ServSafe certification and pass DOT drug testing
  • 3Have 4-6 years of combined education and work experience with at least 1 year of commercial driving
  • 4Be physically capable of lifting 50 pounds and performing strenuous loading tasks
  • 5Demonstrate flexibility for varied schedules including on-call duties
