Day Care Assistant, Childcare & Early Development
Overview
You will own daily care and supervision for up to 15 children aged 6 weeks to 5 years at SugarDrop Daycare. Working alongside a team of 4 caregivers, you will implement creative activities and manage routines. This contract role puts you at the heart of early childhood development, building trust with families.
What You'll Do7
- 1Supervise and interact with children in a safe and compassionate manner during indoor and outdoor play.
- 2Implement creative activities that support cognitive and motor skill development.
- 3Create a positive, nurturing environment that encourages emotional growth.
- 4Perform daily care tasks such as dressing, feeding, bathing, and overseeing naps.
- 5Build strong rapports with parents through daily updates and check-ins.
- 6Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free play space.
- 7Adapt activities to individual children's needs and developmental stages.
Requirements5
- 1Previous experience in childcare or a related field.
- 2Passionate about working with children and supporting their growth.
- 3Ability to build rapport with children and their parents.
- 4Positive and patient demeanor in high-energy situations.
- 5CPR and First Aid certification (preferred).
