Database Integration & BI Project Manager
Overview
You will design and own database integrations across our internal software ecosystem, ensuring secure, scalable data flow for a retail supplier serving commercial, industrial, and residential markets. Build Power BI solutions that drive reporting and analytics, while leading cross-functional projects from planning to deployment. Collaborate with software developers, IT, and business stakeholders to improve data architecture and deliver actionable insights. This role combines hands-on SQL development, ETL/ELT processes, and API integrations with project management, offering direct impact on operational efficiency and decision-making.
What You'll Do9
- 1Design and develop database integrations between internal apps, third-party systems, and cloud platforms using SQL, APIs, and ETL/ELT processes.
- 2Build and maintain Power BI datasets, data models, dashboards, and reports, ensuring secure connections and optimized refresh performance.
- 3Create and optimize SQL scripts, stored procedures, views, and database objects to support seamless data flow.
- 4Troubleshoot and resolve database connectivity, synchronization, and performance issues across integrated systems.
- 5Lead database integration projects from requirements gathering through implementation and post-deployment support, developing plans and timelines.
- 6Coordinate with software developers, IT teams, vendors, and business users to deliver projects on schedule and within scope.
- 7Document technical specifications, system architecture, and integration processes for maintainability.
- 8Partner with business stakeholders to identify reporting needs and deliver actionable intelligence solutions.
- 9Drive data governance, accuracy, and consistency across reporting environments.
Requirements9
- 15+ years in database development, systems integration, or data engineering.
- 2Advanced SQL skills, including stored procedures, views, indexing, and query optimization.
- 3Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
- 4Experience developing ETL/ELT processes and integrating data from multiple systems.
- 5Proven experience building Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic models.
- 6Experience with APIs, web services, and database connectivity technologies.
- 7Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 8Project management experience leading technical implementation projects.
- 9Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
