Overview
Own the strategic migration of the bank's data assets to AWS as a Data Platform Manager. Lead a team of dedicated platform engineers, reporting to the Director of Data Platforms. Collaborate closely with the Chief Data Office to align platform goals with business needs. What You'll Do7
- 1Lead the migration of on-premise data assets to AWS, defining the roadmap and execution plan.
- 2Manage a team of platform engineers, setting priorities and ensuring delivery on AWS infrastructure.
- 3Design and implement ETL pipelines to move data into cloud-based data lakes and warehouses.
- 4Partner with the Chief Data Office to ensure data governance and compliance are embedded in cloud solutions.
- 5Drive the adoption of AWS services such as S3, Glue, and Redshift for scalable data processing.
- 6Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align data platform capabilities with analytical needs.
- 7Own the performance and reliability of the data platform, monitoring and optimizing AWS resources.
Requirements7
- 15+ years managing data platforms with a focus on ETL and AWS.
- 2Hands-on experience with AWS core services: S3, Glue, Redshift, and Lambda.
- 3Proven track record of leading teams of data engineers in cloud migration projects.
- 4Strong understanding of data modeling and data warehousing principles.
- 5Experience with big data technologies like Spark or Hadoop.
- 6Excellent communication skills to interface with both technical and business stakeholders.
- 7Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
