Overview
The Data Governance Architect will shape enterprise data governance across multiple domains at scale. They will design future state architectures and roadmaps, align governance with privacy and compliance, and partner with engineering to embed governance into data platforms. This role differentiates by combining standards-driven architecture with practical implementation guidance across cloud, lakehouse, and data mesh patterns.
What You'll Do5
- 1Build current and future state data architectures and blueprints that align with modern data platform practices
- 2Define and implement governance models, policies, and controls across data ingestion, storage, accessibility, and interoperability
- 3Drive roadmap development and sequencing for modernization initiatives with measurable business outcomes
- 4Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure architectural intent is reflected in data platforms and pipelines
- 5Guide data mesh and domain-oriented architecture discussions to enable scalable, resilient analytics and AI enablement
Requirements5
- 18-10 years of experience in data governance and architecture
- 2Experience with cloud native and lakehouse patterns
- 3Knowledge of data ingestion, storage, and interoperability standards
- 4Ability to define enterprise standards for data modeling and access
- 5Proven ability to partner with governance and security teams to embed controls into platforms
