Overview
Own data entry from paper charts into secure databases and verify accuracy for clinical datasets at Stanford. Work with OSHPD, STS, EHR data, and legacy departmental records dating back to the 1960s. Engage in data collection, abstraction, and coordination with clinical staff and researchers to support quality assessments. This 100% in-person role emphasizes meticulous clerical work, data integrity, and clear documentation.
What You'll Do10
- 1Enter data from source documents into a database under standard instructions
- 2Identify and resolve duplicates or unclear entries to maintain data quality
- 3Measure data using standard procedures and calibrate equipment as needed
- 4Assist with data collection and maintain complex records
- 5Provide administrative support and document specifications for research teams
- 6Review historic paper charts and abstract information for data sets
- 7Contact patients, families, and medical offices to obtain records and verify data
- 8Maintain computerized and manual logs and files according to procedures
- 9Perform audits of own work to ensure conformance with procedures
- 10Convert data between electronic systems as required
Requirements7
- 1High school diploma, G.E.D., or relevant experience
- 2Strong clerical, interpersonal, and organizational skills
