Overview
Data Entry Clerk responsible for maintaining accuracy of clinical research data at Medix. Input and verify patient information within electronic systems while ensuring compliance with GCP and HIPAA standards.
What You'll Do9
- 1Accurately input clinical trial data into clinical data management systems while verifying against source documentation
- 2Ensure all data entry adheres to Good Clinical Practice standards
- 3Identify and resolve data discrepancies between physical source files and digital entries
- 4Safeguard Protected Health Information to maintain HIPAA compliance
- 5Collaborate with physicians and research staff to facilitate data retrieval and corrections
- 6Prepare documentation for audits to ensure completeness and proper filing
- 7Maintain data integrity across clinical databases and registries
- 8Execute duties safely and responsibly including additional administrative tasks
- 9Support background checks requiring knowledge of patient confidentiality laws
Requirements10
- 1High school diploma or equivalent
- 2Associate's degree in Health Information Management or related field
- 31 to 3 years of data entry experience
- 4Prior experience with healthcare or clinical trial data
- 5Hands-on experience with EHR/EMR systems or clinical trial platforms
- 6Strong understanding of clinical documentation standards and medical terminology
- 7Exceptional typing speed and accuracy proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- 8Compliance knowledge of patient confidentiality laws and HIPAA regulations
- 9Organizational skills and attention to detail
- 10Problem-solving abilities for data verification tasks
