What You'll Do7
- 1Accurately performs routine staining and mounting on Gyn and Non-Gyn specimens
- 2Operates Hologic Thin Prep imager and maintains equipment temperature controls
- 3Tracks slide counts and stain lot documentation weekly
- 4Develops protocols for new technologies and test procedures
- 5Assists in evaluating sample suitability and coordinates re-preparation when needed
- 6Ensures all patient requisitions are correctly processed and reviewed
- 7Maintains laboratory instrumentation and supports daily workflow efficiency
Requirements5
- 15+ years working in cytotechnology or related laboratory field
- 2H.S. Diploma or equivalent work experience required
- 3Enrollment in accredited histotechnology program preferred
- 4Prior experience with Laboratory Information Systems demonstrated
- 5Strong attention to detail for accurate specimen handling
