Customer Service Representative, Night Shift Seafood
Overview
Join Samuels Seafood, the nation's leading seafood purveyor, as a Customer Service Representative on the night shift. You will own the order intake process for our fresh and frozen seafood distribution, handling up to 100 calls and emails per shift. You will work directly with sales reps and customers, ensuring accurate order entry and invoicing in a high-volume environment. What You'll Do9
- 1Answer incoming calls and emails from customers and sales representatives, resolving inquiries in real time.
- 2Process orders from phone calls, voicemails, and emails with accuracy, entering them into our ERP system.
- 3Perform data entry and invoicing tasks, verifying pricing and product codes for each order.
- 4Communicate order confirmations and delivery updates to customers, maintaining a professional tone.
- 5Manage clerical duties such as filing, faxing, and updating customer records in MS Outlook.
- 6Escalate complex issues to the sales team or manager, documenting resolutions in the system.
- 7Prioritize order entry during peak hours, ensuring all orders meet cutoffs for next-day delivery.
- 8Follow up on undocumented voicemails within 2 hours of the shift start.
- 9Collaborate with warehouse teams to confirm inventory availability for time-sensitive orders.
Requirements9
- 1High School Diploma or GED.
- 26:00 pm to 2:30 am night shift availability, including weekends and holidays.
- 31+ year in a customer service role, preferably in food distribution or wholesale.
- 4Strong telephone communication skills with clear articulation and active listening.
- 5Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- 6Detail-oriented data entry with a typing speed of 40+ WPM.
- 7Ability to multitask across phone, email, and order systems without errors.
- 8Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment with quick turnarounds.
- 9Basic math skills for invoicing and price verification.
