Customer Service Representative, Gas Station & Food Service
Overview
You will own the customer experience at a Chevron gas station and food service counter, handling cashier, cooking, and cleaning duties. You will greet every customer, manage point-of-sale transactions, and prepare Krispy Krunchy Chicken products while maintaining food safety standards. Working part-time at a busy West LA location, you will support store specials and keep shelves stocked. This role offers direct deposit, health packages, and education reimbursement. You'll stand and walk for long shifts, lift up to 25 pounds, and work in cooler temperatures.
What You'll Do10
- 1Greet and thank every customer with eye contact, providing courteous service at all times.
- 2Conduct point-of-sale transactions for retail and fuel sales, handling multiple forms of payment.
- 3Maintain cash drawer levels, secure funds in the safe, and reconcile cash at shift end.
- 4Clean indoor and outdoor facilities including restrooms, islands, pumps, and car wash areas.
- 5Prepare food and hot beverage products following KKC procedures and county regulations.
- 6Monitor product levels and restock shelves and coolers to minimize loss.
- 7Promote store specials and marketing programs to drive sales.
- 8Cross-check delivered goods for price accuracy and distribute them throughout the store.
- 9Report accidents or incidents to management immediately and follow safety protocols.
- 10Card customers for age-restricted products per federal law and company standards.
Requirements10
- 118+ years old for California and Oregon locations; 21+ for Washington and graveyard shifts.
- 2Proficient in English to understand policies and communicate with customers.
- 3Available for varied hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, overnight, and holidays.
- 4Strong attention to detail and ability to handle challenging situations professionally.
- 5Ability to work independently and in team settings.
- 6Up-to-date food handling certificates as required by law.
- 7Cooking or restaurant experience preferred.
- 8Ability to stand and walk for long periods on hard surfaces.
- 9Ability to lift, push, and move up to 25 pounds using proper techniques.
- 10Willingness to work safely with high-temperature equipment and in coolers at 34°F or lower.
