Customer Service Representative at Chevron Gas Station
Overview
You will own the guest experience at a Chevron gas station, handling cashier duties, cooking Krispy Krunchy Chicken products, and maintaining station cleanliness. You will work on-site in Sherwood, Oregon, with a team of shift leads and managers, reporting directly to the station manager. This role offers a mix of customer interaction, food preparation, and operational tasks, with opportunities for advancement through the Management Bonus Program.
What You'll Do10
- 1Greet and thank every customer with eye contact, delivering exceptional guest service at the counter and fuel island.
- 2Process retail and fuel sales through point-of-sale systems, handling multiple payment forms and keeping cash drawer within limits.
- 3Reconcile cash drawer at shift end, securing funds in the safe and following cash handling policies.
- 4Cook and prepare Krispy Krunchy Chicken and hot beverages, ensuring food safety and sanitation per county regulations.
- 5Monitor product levels and restock shelves, coolers, and foodservice displays to minimize loss and maximize sales.
- 6Promote store specials and marketing programs to increase transaction value.
- 7Inspect delivered goods for accuracy, then distribute them throughout the store in an orderly manner.
- 8Activate fuel pumps and fill vehicle tanks with gasoline or diesel, complying with Oregon law and safety standards.
- 9Maintain station cleanliness, including restrooms, pumps, islands, and car wash areas.
- 10Report accidents or incidents to the manager immediately and support loss prevention processes.
Requirements9
- 118+ years old for Oregon locations; 21+ for graveyard shifts or Washington roles.
- 2Food handler certificate as required by local law (specific locations).
- 3Available to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, overnight shifts, and holidays.
- 41+ year of cooking or restaurant experience is preferred.
- 5Strong attention to detail and ability to handle challenging situations professionally.
- 6Able to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lift, and push up to 25 pounds using proper techniques.
- 7Work safely with high-temperature equipment using personal protective equipment.
- 8Comfortable with periodic outdoor conditions and moderate exposure to walk-in coolers at 34°F or lower.
- 9Fluent in English to understand policies, safety training, and communicate effectively.
