Customer Delivery Engineer
Overview
Customer Delivery Engineers own end-to-end deployment and execution of customer satellite missions at Loft. They serve as the primary technical interface to customers and translate mission objectives into operational reality. This role involves managing the full mission lifecycle from requirements definition through launch and long-term optimization while operating spacecraft and collaborating directly with clients.
What You'll Do5
- 1Own the full mission lifecycle including requirements definition and ConOps design through launch commissioning and on-orbit execution
- 2Operate Loft spacecraft and payloads on orbit to drive mission execution and performance optimization
- 3Work directly with customers to design mission applications using Loft’s API and operational framework
- 4Develop mission tooling and automation in Python to enhance reliability and scalability
- 5Translate operational experience into product improvements based on customer feedback
Requirements5
- 13+ years of experience in operational engineering environments such as satellite operations or production infrastructure
- 2Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex system issues across multiple layers
- 3Strong Python scripting skills for building automation solutions
- 4Experience with Docker or similar DevOps environments
- 5Ability to thrive in dynamic high-pressure settings with evolving requirements
