Owns cleaning and maintenance for a school facility with a focus on safety and cleanliness at a district scale. Collaborates with Maintenance and Transportation teams to support events and daily operations. Primary techs and tools include cleaning equipment and safety protocols. What You'll Do10
- 1Build and perform daily cleaning across classrooms, offices, cafeterias and common areas to maintain high standards of cleanliness
- 2Operate and maintain floor care equipment such as floor strippers, buffers and vacuums ensuring safe conditions
- 3Disinfect restrooms, water coolers and high touch surfaces following SDS guidelines
- 4Prepare facilities for events by arranging furniture and equipment and cleaning afterward
- 5Respond to emergencies and participate in safety drills to protect students and staff
- 6Assist in special cleaning during breaks and summer projects including floor refurbishing and painting inspections
- 7Monitor facilities for vandalism and hazards and report to maintenance leadership
- 8Secure facilities at start and end of day and support safety and disaster plans
- 9Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishments as needed
- 10Perform minor maintenance and assist with safety inspections and equipment maintenance
Requirements5
- 1High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- 2Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- 3CPR and First Aid Certification
- 4Previous custodial or building maintenance experience
- 5Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work standing for extended periods and climb ladders
