What You'll Do10

  • 1Operate CT scanners to capture diagnostic images for adult, geriatric, and pediatric patients.
  • 2Coordinate daily scheduling of CT scans to maximize equipment utilization and patient flow.
  • 3Position patients and explain procedures to ensure comfort and cooperation during exams.
  • 4Evaluate image quality and retake scans as needed to meet diagnostic standards.
  • 5Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper documentation in the HIS system.
  • 6Respond to emergency call-back after hours to provide CT services for urgent cases.
  • 7Assist radiologists during CT-guided procedures, ensuring sterile technique and safety.
  • 8Calibrate and perform quality control checks on CT equipment to maintain accuracy.
  • 9Collaborate with nursing and technical staff to prioritize critical exams and patient needs.
  • 10Educate patients and families about the CT procedure, addressing concerns and reducing anxiety.

Requirements10

  • 1Graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology.
  • 2ARRT registered in CT
  • 3BLS certification from AHA or ARC
  • 4New graduates must be eligible for CT registration and obtain ARRT(CT) within 6 months of hire.
  • 51+ years of CT scan experience preferred.
  • 6Ability to work PRN shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
  • 7Strong patient care skills with attention to age-specific needs.
  • 8Proficiency in operating CT equipment and related software.
  • 9Ability to stand for long periods and lift patients or equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • 10Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergencies promptly.
