What You'll Do10

  • 1Perform diagnostic CT exams per protocol, confirming patient ID and order verification before each scan.
  • 2Review images for quality, clarity, and accuracy, adjusting techniques to optimize diagnostic value.
  • 3Operate CT equipment and PACS systems, ensuring accurate data capture and transfer.
  • 4Adhere to radiation safety guidelines, minimizing exposure while maintaining image quality.
  • 5Educate patients on procedures, address concerns, and ensure comfort throughout the scan.
  • 6Assist and instruct students and fellow CT techs on positioning, protocols, and equipment use.
  • 7Maintain ARRT certification and complete competency assessments for all clinical functions.
  • 8Document patient information, procedures, and outcomes in EPIC accurately.
  • 9Apply infection control and sterile techniques, following OSHA standards.
  • 10Respond to emergencies and prioritize exams for critical patients, coordinating with the care team.

Requirements8

  • 11+ years of CT experience in a hospital setting
  • 2ARRT (RT)(R) Radiography Certification and registration
  • 3BLS certification for healthcare providers
  • 4Relevant state licensure (where required)
  • 5Proficiency in CT protocols, contrast administration, and image evaluation
  • 6Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
  • 7Strong communication skills for patient interaction and team collaboration
  • 8Physical ability to lift and transfer patients, stand for extended periods, and operate complex equipment
