The Critical Care Room Technician works under RN supervision to support patient care and unit operations. This role involves transporting patients, performing EKGs, managing supplies, and assisting with documentation. It offers a competitive hourly wage between $21.00 and $25.95. The position emphasizes teamwork and adherence to clinical standards.
What You'll Do11
- 1Assist RN in patient care tasks such as turning positioning and ambulation
- 2Prepare patients for examinations and set up equipment for emergencies
- 3Ensure patient privacy and proper charging of charge cards
- 4Maintain accurate patient logs and organize utility rooms
- 5Perform 12-Lead EKG assessments and transmit results to Cardio-Diagnostics
- 6Lead accurate patient placement using standardized equipment protocols
- 7Transcribe physician orders and enter data into electronic systems
- 8Coordinate patient room assignments and manage admission supplies
- 9Transport patients via gurney or wheelchair for admissions procedures
- 10Support team cohesion by fostering positive workplace relationships
- 11Participate in performance improvement initiatives and quality control activities
Requirements5
- 1High School diploma or GED minimum requirement
- 2Basic Arrhythmia Certification mandatory
- 3One year recent acute care hospital experience preferred
- 4Competent knowledge of Python and AWS for data analysis
- 5Proficiency in React for interface interactions
