Cost Analyst, Purchasing Finance & Vehicle Cost Governance
Overview
Own cost analysis and savings governance at scale within a cross functional team. You will build business cases for commercial and technical savings ideas and monitor progress toward internal targets. You will collaborate with a four person team to size opportunities and develop negotiation strategies to maximize direct material savings. This role emphasizes data governance, accuracy, and cross functional collaboration in a fully onsite environment in Auburn Hills MI.
What You'll Do5
- 1Build supplier fact packs and negotiation strategies to drive direct material savings MS Excel data governance complex data
- 2Validate commercial and technical savings ideas through business cases finance data interpretation stakeholder communication
- 3Collaborate with cross functional team to size and ideate potential savings opportunities teamwork Auburn Hills vendor management
- 4Monitor progress to internal VCP targets and communicate status to leadership reporting KPI tracking management updates
- 5Ensure adherence to savings governance, documentation standards, and approval requirements controls documentation compliance
Requirements7
- 1Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting
- 2Minimum 5+ years of experience in Purchasing Finance, Product Finance, Vehicle Cost Engineering, Plant Cost Analyst, or a comparable analytical role
- 3Proven ability to develop, validate, and defend financial business cases financial modeling scenario analysis
- 4Strong analytical capability, including interpretation of complex data across multiple systems data analysis multi-system
- 5High attention to detail with a strong focus on data accuracy, governance, and process discipline data quality process discipline
- 6Proficiency in MS Office (emphasis on Excel) Excel data manipulation
