What You'll Do9
- 1Build visibility into direct and shared costs of delivering cloud and AI infrastructure services including unit economics and margin analyses that inform pricing and business decisions
- 2Distinguish between cost types and timing of costs for proper capitalization versus expensing treatment
- 3Allocate shared infrastructure costs across products customers or business units
- 4Develop cost-per-unit metrics such as cost per token input output or cost per active user/seat
- 5Support pricing strategy by providing margin analysis at the customer product tier or usage-based level
- 6Prepare gross margin analysis by customer product line or pricing tier
- 7Analyze actual versus budgeted compute costs investigate spend spikes
- 8Track capitalized software development costs for internally built AI infrastructure tools
- 9Coordinate with technical accounting on amortization schedules for capitalized development costs
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience
- 23-5 years of cost accounting or FP&A experience preferably in a cloud SaaS or technology environment
- 3Understanding of cloud infrastructure cost structures compute storage data transfer
- 4Strong Excel data analysis skills comfortable working with large usage-based datasets
- 5Preferred experience building cost-per-unit or unit economics models such as cost per token or cost per transaction
- 6Familiarity with capitalized software development cost accounting
- 7Experience supporting pricing or margin analysis for usage-based products
- 8Soft skills including analytical rigor business acumen cross-functional communication curiosity
- 9Candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents
- 10Ability to pass background check and reference verification
