Cloud Engineer FinOps
Overview
You will own cloud financial operations across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, driving cost optimization and FinOps adoption for a portfolio of enterprise clients. Collaborating with engineering, finance, and operations teams, you will design scalable infrastructure and implement automation for cost analysis and governance. This role blends hands-on cloud engineering with strategic financial management, offering direct mentorship from cloud architects and a clear path to FinOps leadership.

- 1Drive cloud financial management and FinOps adoption across engineering, finance, and operations teams.
- 2Design and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure with a focus on cost efficiency, performance, and security.
- 3Develop and monitor cloud usage, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting strategies using AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
- 4Implement automation for cost analysis, tagging, and resource governance to optimize spend and improve cloud transparency.
- 5Contribute to cost allocation, chargeback, and showback processes, ensuring clear accountability across business units.
- 6Translate business and technical needs into actionable cloud financial management solutions during requirements gathering.
- 7Promote cloud cost awareness by facilitating training and knowledge sharing on FinOps principles and cloud economics.
- 8Stay current on cloud services, pricing models, and cost optimization methodologies.
Requirements7
- 1Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) including hands-on cloud engineering.
- 3Solid understanding of FinOps methodology and cloud cost optimization tools and strategies.
- 4Ability to analyze, report, and forecast cloud spend using analytics platforms and native cloud billing tools.
- 5Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and operational efficiency.
- 6Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with technical and financial stakeholders.
- 7Detail-oriented, analytical mindset with superb organizational and time management skills.
