We seek a skilled Cook to prepare nutritious meals for residents at William Penn Senior Suites in Jeannette PA. You will maintain a clean safe kitchen while coordinating with departments and implementing dietitian recommendations.
What You'll Do10
- 1Prepare meals according to planned menus and special diets
- 2Inspect diet trays to ensure proper nutrition
- 3Coordinate food service with other departments
- 4Work with dietitian to implement policy changes
- 5Follow kitchen safety protocols
- 6Maintain organized kitchen equipment and supplies
- 7Recommend equipment needs to the Director of Food Services
- 8Make authorized food substitutions
- 9Assist in special meal preparation
- 10Monitor staff compliance with safety regulations
Requirements10
- 1Minimum 8th grade education
- 2Ability to cook diverse foods in large quantities
- 3Strong reading writing speaking and English communication skills
- 4Tactful interaction with residents staff families and public
- 5Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- 6No threat to workplace health and safety
- 7Intermittent mobility throughout shift
- 8Independent work style with teamwork capability
- 9Willingness to handle bloodborne pathogens
- 10Capacity to lift 25 pounds to 5 feet height over 50 feet distance
