We seek a dedicated Cook to deliver nutritious meals while maintaining efficient kitchen operations. This role involves managing menu planning and ensuring compliance with dietary guidelines.
What You'll Do11
- 1Maintain timely meal service and ensure smooth kitchen operations
- 2Review daily menus and event calendars to confirm necessary ingredients and supplies
- 3Prepare meals that are nutritious visually appealing and consistent with dietary needs
- 4Follow standardized recipes and make substitutions only when authorized
- 5Serve food using proper portion control methods
- 6Assist with preparing special meals for events and celebrations
- 7Accurately estimate portions and manage leftovers to minimize waste and control food costs
- 8Adhere to state and county regulations regarding sanitation food safety storage recordkeeping and chemical handling
- 9Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently including steamer oven grill meat slicer mixer grinder dishwasher
- 10Maintain organized clean and compliant cooler and freezer spaces
- 11Complete daily cleaning assignments to uphold sanitation standards
Requirements5
- 1High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2One year of experience as a Cook preferred
- 3Healthcare skilled nursing home experience preferred
- 4ServSafe certification preferred
- 55+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
