Cook Supervisor, Onsite Food Service for Campus Dining
Overview
Cook Supervisor lead on-site food production at a college campus with direct supervision of food-service staff. Own training, scheduling, and adherence to recipes and HACCP standards to ensure safe, high-quality meals at scale. Work with a team to minimize waste, manage inventory, and maintain compliance. This role is designed for growth within a supportive, mission-driven dining program.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and train a team of food-service associates and direct daily workflows to meet service goals
- 2Lead adherence to approved recipes and production standards ensuring proper quality and portion control
- 3Oversee food safety and HACCP compliance through proper storage, labeling, dating, and stock rotation
- 4Operate and clean equipment according to procedures and maintain a safe working environment
- 5Monitor purchasing requirements with management to minimize waste and prevent shortages
- 6Address customer feedback during service and implement improvements
- 7Assist with meal service during peak periods and ensure timely delivery of meals
- 8Document and enforce policies, procedures, and safety standards
- 9Support continuous improvement initiatives and training programs
- 10Perform additional duties as assigned by management
