What You'll Do8

  • 1Drive daily kitchen operations for student dining and catering, ensuring quality and timeliness.
  • 2Assist the Executive Chef in planning and creating menus that align with campus dining trends.
  • 3Produce and execute catering events, from small meetings to large banquets.
  • 4Roll out new culinary programs in partnership with marketing and culinary teams.
  • 5Control food costs and expenditures, monitoring inventory and purchasing.
  • 6Supervise hourly associates, training them on food prep and safety standards.
  • 7Foster strong relationships with campus clients to align dining programs with their objectives.
  • 8Debug and refine recipes and presentation standards to maintain consistency.

Requirements7

  • 1A.S. degree or equivalent culinary experience.
  • 22+ years culinary/kitchen management experience, depending on formal degree or training.
  • 31+ year high-volume, complex foodservice operations experience, highly desirable.
  • 4Institutional and batch cooking experience helpful.
  • 5Comprehensive knowledge of food trends, quality, production, sanitation, and food cost controls.
  • 6Proficiency with computers and point-of-sale systems.
  • 7ServSafe certified.
