Controller, Nonprofit Financial Leadership

What You'll Do11
- 1Lead all financial operations and accounting functions
- 2Prepare and present financial reports for monthly quarterly and annual periods
- 3Develop and manage multi-year financial forecasts
- 4Oversee budgeting and cash flow monitoring
- 5Manage grant funded and contract funded programs
- 6Ensure compliance with DHS CYF and other funding agency requirements
- 7Conduct audits and prepare Form 990 filings
- 8Supervise accounts payable receivable payroll and closing processes
- 9Maintain internal controls and financial policies meeting nonprofit standards
- 10Provide financial analysis and recommendations to executive leadership
- 11Guide program leaders in financial management of funded initiatives
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor's degree in accounting finance or related field
- 2Minimum 7 years accounting experience
- 3Minimum 5 years nonprofit financial leadership
- 4Proven experience managing government contracts grants and nonprofit funding
- 5Strong knowledge of nonprofit fund accounting and reporting
- 6Experience leading annual audits and maintaining audit readiness
- 7Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- 8CPA designation preferred
- 9Experience with Single Audits and Uniform Guidance compliance
- 10Familiarity with QuickBooks Sage Intacct or similar systems
